VIRTUAL TRAINING
SUITE
Overview
ART has
created a innovative suite of Virtual Training
Products for both fixed wing and rotary aircraft.
Building upon ART’s extensive industry experience,
the Virtual Training Suite (VTS) combines a powerful computer system architecture with high fidelity
simulations to produce a low cost suite of training
devices.
The
VTS utilizes photorealistic models of a flight deck with
free play simulation models to enable an aircraft to be fully
represented on single or multiple screen computers.
Cockpit VTS
Using a multiple touch screen
configuration, the Cockpit VTS can be configured to be
spatially representative of an aircraft flightdeck.
This version of the VTS can be used for flight, maintenance
and crew training.

The
Cockpit VTS
will allow a crew to train on normal and abnormal operation
of the aircraft. Using a separate Instructor Station,
malfunctions can be activated allowing students to perform
highly interactive procedures training.
The Cockpit VTS
can be easily integrated into any pilot
training program. The VTS will lower your training costs by
reducing fixed base simulator (FBS)
or full flight simulator (FFS) sessions.
Desktop VTS
A student can
use the Desktop VTS for self-paced training,
aircraft familiarization and aircraft systems training.
All aircraft systems are represented and can be procedurally
operated the same as the actual aircraft.

The Desktop VTS can be
deployed on an existing computer network, stand alone
computer or laptop. The Desktop VTS can also be made
accessible through the internet for Distance Learning or
projected in a classroom by an Instructor.
Using the ART Lesson Plan Toolset, powerful interactive
lessons can be created to guide a student with step by step
instruction on how to operate the aircraft.
The Desktop VTS is highly configurable and new simulation
screens can be quickly created by dragging and dropping from
a pick list of available simulation objects.
Customization
ART has designed
the VTS for quick and easy customization of a solution that
is tailored to specific training requirements. Options
include integration with tactile components
such as
Control Display Units (CDU) or a Mode Control Panel (MCP).
ART currently
has an off the shelf model available for the Boeing 737 NG
and can configure any fixed wing or rotary aircraft using an
extensive library of in-house simulation models. The ART VTS
can be certified to FAA FTD Level 4 or JAR STD 2A FTD Level
1.
