Senior Software Engineer

General Summary:
Designs software architectures required to support technical projects. Consults with aerospace engineers to understand functional requirements of required software. Applies established software development methodology to design, develop, implement and test new software. Applies established quality assurance and configuration management methods.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Performs high level software system design. Establishes software tools, quality assurance and configuration management methodology for software development. Provides training and advice to less experienced software engineers. Reviews software developed to his specifications to assure design goals have been achieved. Reviews software documentation developed to hisspecifications to assure clarity and completeness.

Job Qualifications
Ph. D. or equivalent and 10 years experience in software development
